NØLO Recipe: Sol y Ceniza
Aug 23, 2025
This cocktail comes to us courtesy of Jason's favorite F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, and the entire team at Almave. Sol y ceniza translates to sun and ashes, which is what this smoky sip will bring to your palate. It's lazy barkeep-approved and sippable from Summer through early winter.
The History
No mystery with this cocktail! This one comes to us from Almave, and is meant to highlight the beautiful smokiness of Humo. A bit sweet, a bit smoky, it comes together quickly in shaker and drinks deliciously over rocks.
From Almave: "Tropical pineapple and lime dance with subtle smoke in Sol y Ceniza, delivering a taste of sunny beaches and the comforting glow of an evening bonfire."
Make It
- 2 oz Almave Humo
-
1 oz Pineapple juice
- 0.5 oz Fresh lime juice
-
.75 oz Agave syrup
< 0.5% ABV | Add 1 large cube of ice to a rocks glass.
Add all ingredients to a shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel, pineapple, or prickly pear wheel.
Sip with sabór.
