NØLO Recipe: buz n' tonic
Oct 03, 2025
This one couldn't be easier. I cap "Lazy Barkeep" cocktail designation at three ingredients, four if one of the ingredients is bitters. Why the exception to the rule? I don't know, honestly, but it's something about it being so easy to shake bitters out of the bottle that it doesn't really count as an ingredient. ANYway.
This cocktail adds a bit of "I'm a mixologist" to the OG Bonbuz Bittersweet Citron, leaving you with something a bit sweeter, layered, and with a bit of tonic-y bite.
If you've never tried Bonbuz, it's like nothing else we stock on our shelves. Both the OG and the spicy sister, Slowburn, are functionals meant to give you a little lift while tasting absolutely delicious.

Make It
Time to prepare: hardly any
- 1.5 oz. Bonbuz Bittersweet Citron
- 1/2 oz. Agave syrup
- 4 - 6 oz. Tonic (we recommend Elderflower)
- Lime wheel for garnish
Shake it like a Polaroid picture and “dirty dump” directly into any glass
Top with tonic (elderflower preferred) and garnish with lime wheel.
Drink in your good decision.
