Mar 28, 2025
Are you a suave debonaire lemon lover? Welp, this is the cocktail for you. Gin, lemon intensity, and some sweetness come together beautifully in a sexy glass. Too sweet for you? Easy! Reduce the simple syrup as you see fit.
The History
Turns out the history of the Martini is shrouded in mystery. It's either a New York creation or a California creation ... but all mix-torians agree, it's been around since the 1880s. This recipe is pretty in line with the original Martini, in that it's more sweet than dry. The original Martinis featured ingredients like maraschino liqueur and simple syrup and, over time, evolved into the drier style we're accustomed to today.
