NØLO Recipe: The Pentire Spicy Margarita

This recipe comes to us from the fine team at Pentire. We love the whole Pentire line because it's fresh in a way that is different from anything else we carry. Somehow, simultaneously subtle and very complex.

Pentire Adrift - featured in this Margarita recipe - is their original botanical non-alcoholic spirit, made by distilling unique plants native to the UK coastline.

This drink is Pentire's take on the Margarita - and it fits my Lazy Barkeep parameters with only three easy ingredients. We think you'll love it and encourage you to adjust it to your taste!

The History

The Margarita's origin is shrouded in mystery and conflicting attribution. I personally love this version of the origin story...

Back in 1938, restauranteur Carlos Herrara crafted the first margarita to serve to a dancer named Marjorie - a woman allergic to all spirits except tequila. So Carlos used that, added some lime juice and salt to make it more palatable, and the rest...as they say...

Is history.

Make It

Add Adrift, lime juice, and agave in cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well, strain over 1 large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with a chili pepper and pinch of sea salt.

Enjoy your coastal vibe.
