NØLO Recipe: Unloaded French 75
Feb 06, 2026
Festive, celebratory, and 1000% perfect for all my fellow lazy barkeeps out there. A cocktail made for clinking glasses or feeling fancy. When you have barely any energy but still want to make some magic.
The History
First printed in a cocktail book in 1927, and thought to have been born at Harry's New York Bar in Paris. The fully loaded French 75 was named after the 75mm field gun, which had a potent kick.
We've made it booze free here for your lazy barkeep pleasure.
Make It
Time to prepare: 5 minutes
- 2 oz gin alternative (we use Free Spirits Gin)
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- NA sparkling white wine (we use what we have handy)
- Garnish: lemon twist (and lavender if you're feeling it)
Combine gin alternative, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a mixing glass filled with ice. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with NA sparkling wine and garnish with lemon twist and lavender sprig.
